The first trailer for the second season of "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," the MonsterVerse's inaugural live-action series led by Godzilla and King Kong, was released tonight, announcing a premiere date of February 27, 2026.
The main cast from the first season will return, including Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett, Anders Holm, Kiersey Clemons, Kurt Russell, and his son Wyatt Russell. According to the official synopsis, the primary setting for this season will be Skull Island, home to King Kong.

Chris Black and Matt Fraction, known for "Star Trek: Enterprise," continue as showrunners for "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" Season 2. Joby Harold, a writer for "Army of the Dead," also remains on board as an executive producer. Matt Shakman, who directed the first two episodes of Season 1 and is set to helm Marvel's upcoming "Fantastic Four" film, will continue as an executive producer.
