The 'S.H.MonsterArts' series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, which combines exquisite kaiju sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, showcased several new prototypes from the 'Godzilla' film series at the 'TAMASHII NATION 2025' exhibition held last week.

・S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Junior & Destoroyah Evolution Set
Godzilla Junior first appeared in 1993's 'Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla'. Though of the same species as Godzilla, they were not blood relatives. Junior, from egg to hatchling to adult, was cared for by Fire Rodan, humans, and Godzilla. In 'Godzilla vs. Destoroyah', Junior grew into a smaller version of Godzilla under Godzilla's care. While capable of firing a heat ray, its combat abilities were not high. In the film, it could counterattack against Destoroyah's Aggregate and Flying forms with its heat ray, but when it encountered the more powerful Perfect Form, it was utterly defenseless, captured, dropped from a great height, and died.

・S.H.MonsterArts Oodako (2023)
The Godzilla that appeared in 'Godzilla Minus One' was originally an ancient creature inhabiting the deep seas around Odo Island, referred to by local residents as 'Oodako'. With a body resembling a carnivorous dinosaur, standing approximately 15 meters tall, it possessed an extraordinary regenerative ability that made it impervious to firearms. In late 1945, during World War II, it attacked Japanese troops invading its territory, causing significant casualties. However, in 1946, after the war, American nuclear tests near Bikini Atoll caused Oodako to mutate and grow into Godzilla, standing 50 meters tall.
