The 'Saint Cloth Myth EX' series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product: the 'Sea Emperor Poseidon -ORIGINAL COLOR EDITION-' action figure! This item will be released as a commemorative product for Tamashii Nation 2025, with a suggested retail price of 27,500 JPY, and is scheduled for release in April 2026.
The Sea General from the 'Poseidon Chapter' of Saint Seiya – Sea Emperor Poseidon (海皇ポセイドン) – is the ruler of the marine world and has been Athena's sworn enemy since the age of myths. After being sealed in Athena's Jar during the Holy War millennia ago, Poseidon fell into a deep slumber until his seal was inadvertently broken by Sea Dragon Kanon. Witnessing the ugliness of modern humanity and their destruction of the environment, he believed it was due to Athena's protection of humans, thus initiating the Marine Holy War and resurrecting through Julian as his human vessel.
The 'Saint Cloth Myth EX Sea Emperor Poseidon -ORIGINAL COLOR EDITION-' action figure faithfully reproduces the shining orange Scale Cloth with electroplated coating, based on the original manga's design, perfectly capturing its distinctive features. Utilizing the new EX METAL body, both the elbow and knee joints employ die-cast construction, with significant adjustments made to body proportions, articulation retention, and overall weight, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and stability. The cape is made of fabric and features internal wires, allowing for flexible posing to create dynamic, flowing angles. Furthermore, it comes with a wealth of accessories, including new effect parts for the trident, a throne, and a mask part with an arrow embedded, allowing for the recreation of various scenes from the series! Like other figures in the series, it can also be assembled to form the Cloth Object mode.
