BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced the latest addition to its 'Pokémon PLAMO' plastic model series: "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 62 Select Series Kyogre," slated for release in June 2026.
In the ancient Hoenn region, the setting of Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, many old legends are told. Among them, "Kyogre" is an ancient Pokémon that created the oceans and slumbers deep beneath the sea. Regarded as the embodiment of the ocean, it summons storms and floods land to expand the seas, possessing the immense power to unleash torrential rains. It once engaged in continuous conflict with the ancient Pokémon "Groudon," which brought intense heat to evaporate water and expand the land. After mediation by the Sky High Pokémon "Rayquaza," both fell into a deep slumber.
The "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 62 Select Series Kyogre" is meticulously crafted using multiple molded color parts and precise segmentation design. It faithfully recreates Kyogre's massive body, white spots, and red lines at an impressive length of approximately 18 cm. In addition to articulated joints in various areas, such as its side fins, the mouth can also be posed open to reveal its teeth by swapping parts. The set also includes a wave-shaped clear display base, allowing Kyogre to be showcased as if swimming on the ocean surface.
