The latest entry in the "Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle" (ミニソフビクロニクル) monster soft vinyl blind box series, released by Japan's PLEX Corporation (株式会社プレックス), has been announced: "Godzilla Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle [Steel Beast]"! Scheduled for release in mid-December 2025, each figure will have a suggested retail price of 550 JPY (tax included), with a total of ten different styles to collect.
This "Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle" toy series, themed "Steel Beast," not only includes three different variations of "Imposter Godzilla" and two color schemes of the 1974 "Mechagodzilla," allowing you to relive the classic moment when Imposter Godzilla revealed its true identity, but also features five other immensely popular giant mechs: "Jet Jaguar," the 1993 "Mechagodzilla," "M.O.G.E.R.A.," "Type-3 Kiryu Heavy Arms Type," and "Type-3 Kiryu 'Kai' Heavy Arms Type"! The adorable forms are imbued with rich mechanical detailing, making them incredibly satisfying to behold. The sculpt and color expression of "Imposter Godzilla C" are absolutely superb! A must-have.
