Following the previous collaboration with the NBA Los Angeles Lakers for the "Welcome Luffy Game Night Collab" theme night, the super popular Japanese anime "ONE PIECE" and the Straw Hat Pirates are once again making their move into the NBA's premier professional basketball league, the world's highest arena, to launch brand new merchandise! The first wave introduces the "ONE PIECE × NBA MASTER STARS PIECE THE MONKEY.D.LUFFY" figure series, scheduled for an exclusive pre-sale starting December 5, 2025, at the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP in Shinjuku, Tokyo!
The "ONE PIECE × NBA MASTER STARS PIECE THE MONKEY.D.LUFFY" series, part of BANDAI SPIRITS' Banpresto brand's top-tier MASTER STARS PIECE (MSP) line, brings six items in its first release. Each features player Luffy, sporting jersey number 5656, in the classic uniforms of various teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Memphis Grizzlies. Each figure has a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, these figures, built upon the MASTER STARS PIECE foundation, vividly capture Luffy in a dynamic dunking pose. Beyond the finely sculpted muscular arms and intricate details of his straw hat and sandals, the jersey design is a particular highlight! A transparent stand creates a mid-air effect, and the base is printed with each team's emblem, satisfying both basketball and pirate fans simultaneously!
