To commemorate the release of the theatrical film "The Solitary Gourmet," Japan's Max Factory toy company has officially announced the latest product in its popular "figma" action figure series: "figma Goro Inogashira Matsushige Yutaka ver. Renewed Edition Winter Full Stomach Set"! The suggested retail price is 14,800 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2026.
The protagonist of "The Solitary Gourmet," "Goro Inogashira" (portrayed by Yutaka Matsushige), is a businessman who sells imported miscellaneous goods. While visiting clients, whenever hunger strikes, he immediately seeks out a restaurant to feast. He savors local delicacies during his work breaks. Though seemingly alone, he thoroughly enjoys dining undisturbed by others, meticulously savoring his meals, and internally commenting on every detail from the restaurant to the dishes.
▼The figma Goro Inogashira Matsushige Yutaka ver. released in 2018, you can clearly feel the difference compared to this renewed edition.
The "figma Goro Inogashira Matsushige Yutaka ver. Renewed Edition Winter Full Stomach Set" features a newly updated sculpt of Inogashira's weathered appearance from the theatrical film, more closely capturing the contours and essence of actor Yutaka Matsushige. His hairstyle, facial wrinkles, and moles are rendered with even greater realism, and the classic hungry furrowed brow expression is perfectly recreated! The face parts include: "Normal Face," "Hungry Face," and "Open-Mouth Face." Paired with accessories like "White Rice," "Miso Soup," "Braised Splendid Alfonsino," and "Meat Bun," you can recreate scenes of him heartily enjoying his meals. Additionally, a fabric long coat is included, allowing you to pose his hands in his pockets!
