The KERORO Platoon is once again invading the wallets of Earthlings with the latest product in Bandai's popular GASHAPON "Waiting (Machibouke)" series, the 'Waiting Keroro Gunsō Desu ga 2' capsule toy. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per turn, with five different designs available, scheduled for release in March 2026.
Created by Japanese manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, the comedic work 'Sgt. Frog' (Keroro Gunsō) tells the story of the special vanguard unit of the Space Invasion Army from Planet 58 of the Gamma Nebula, aka frog-like aliens, who came to Earth to conquer the Blue Star (Keron Star, ケロン星). However, after being captured by the protagonists Fuyuki and Natsumi, they are forced to stay and live with the Hinata family. Subsequently, Sergeant Keroro's subordinates: Private Tamama, Corporal Giroro, Sergeant Major Kururu, and Lance Corporal Dororo, also make their appearances..., continuing to devise various plans to invade Earth!
The 'Waiting Keroro Gunsō Desu ga 2' capsule toy, like the first installment, reinterprets the five members of the KERORO Platoon – KERORO, TAMAMA, GIRORO, KURURU, and DORORO – in the series' consistent classic style, sculpted in a size of approximately 4 cm tall. However, this time, their true natures are exposed, depicting expressions full of personality! Zoning out, raging, crying, fainting... Is this the daily routine of invading Earth!?
