The 6-inch action figure series "GUNDAM UNIVERSE," released by BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS and designed for *Mobile Suit Gundam* fans worldwide, has officially announced the latest product from *Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM*, the "Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam," scheduled for release in June 2026.
Kira Yamato's mobile suit in the theatrical film, the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, is a new machine improved by Morgenroete using the latest technology. While its external appearance hasn't changed significantly, its armaments, apart from the High-Energy Beam Rifle, have all been updated to new specifications. After combining with the new enhanced equipment "Proud Defender" piloted by Lacus, forming the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, it can further utilize armaments such as the "Convergent Super-Heavy Nuclear Beam Cannon" hidden in its forehead and the physical sword "Futsunomitama."
The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam" also utilizes the "UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME," a new articulation frame fully improved since 2025, significantly enhancing the range of motion compared to previous products in the series, allowing for more dynamic and powerful battle poses. The overall design is based on the anime settings, with added original armor detailing unique to the series. The characteristic golden frame is expressed through molded colors and paintwork, and the movable mechanism of its wings allows for impressive wing-spreading poses.
Accessories include three pairs of interchangeable hands, two beam sabers, one "Futsunomitama," and an antenna replacement part for the "Convergent Super-Heavy Nuclear Beam Cannon" in its muzzle-deployed state. Combined with the main body's flexible articulation design, various battle scenes can be recreated. Furthermore, the "Proud Defender" on its back can be detached and displayed separately. However, a display stand is not included with the product, requiring the use of a separately sold BANDAI "TAMASHII STAGE" or other stands of the same specifications.
