Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division is set to release the latest product from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt", the "HG 1/144 Gundam Zagan", on December 06, 2025. Official new information, including product box art design and actual sample images, has been released just before its launch.
The ASW-G-61 Gundam Zagan was a Gundam Frame Mobile Suit used by Arjuna Ishu, the head of the Ishu family, one of the original "Seven Stars" during the "Calamity War" over three hundred years ago. After the war, it was kept under strict management by the Ishu family and rarely appeared in public. It wasn't until the current family head, Kaelda, was killed in battle that Rond Bronn, a member of her personal guard who inherited her will, revealed Gundam Zagan's hiding place during his search for a successor to the family head.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Zagan" is produced with HG-standard precise color separation and part division techniques. White molded parts are used to recreate the unique white sections and antennas on the head, and the internal structure of some armor parts and the piping details throughout the frame are reproduced, presenting a heavily armored appearance and the distinctive "Shield Pincer Units" on both sides. By using the included stickers, the Ishu family crest on the red chest armor can be recreated.
Continuing the characteristics of Gundam Frame mobile suits, it features flexible movable joint designs. The front shoulder armor has an independent movable design to ensure the range of motion for the arms, and both the shoulder and wrist areas utilize ball joint designs in two places to enhance articulation. The "Shield Pincer Units" use yellow molded parts to represent the golden rare metal blades. The hanger connected to the rear of the waist can rotate in multiple directions. When stored, the units function as sturdy shields, and when transformed, they can recreate the deployed state of the shield body, allowing for poses that depict blade attacks and clamping enemy mobile suits with the deployed pincers.
