Anne Hathaway, who famously showcased her vocal talents in films like "Les Misérables" and the "Rio" franchise, is set to sing once more next year in "Mother Mary." This original musical film is written and directed by David Lowery, acclaimed for his work on "Green Knight" and "A Ghost Story." The project unveiled three promotional posters yesterday, followed by the release of its first trailer tonight.

The star-studded cast of "Mother Mary" also features Hunter Schafer, Kaia Gerber, British singer FKA twigs, Michaela Coel, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Alba Baptista. FKA twigs collaborated with fellow artist Charli XCX and Grammy-winning music producer Jack Antonoff to compose original songs for the film.
The film follows Hathaway as a pop superstar who, grappling with an existential crisis, abruptly cancels her tour. She then reconnects with an old friend, a fashion designer, seeking their help to reinvent her public image. "Mother Mary" is slated for a North American release in April next year, with specific dates yet to be announced.
