The beloved British fantasy children's book series "The Magic Faraway Tree," which debuted 96 years ago, is finally making its way to the big screen. Directed by Ben Gregor, the film adaptation is set to hit cinemas in Australia and the UK starting March 26 next year. The first trailer and a teaser poster (pictured below) were recently unveiled.
Simon Farnaby, co-writer of the live-action "Paddington" films (parts two and three), penned the screenplay for "The Magic Faraway Tree." Farnaby, also an actor, makes a cameo appearance in the movie.

The star-studded cast features Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Rebecca Ferguson, Jessica Gunning, Nicola Coughlan, Nonso Anozie, and Jennifer Saunders.
The official synopsis reveals: Polly, Tim, and their three children are forced to relocate to the remote British countryside. As they adjust to their new life, the children discover a magical tree and its peculiar inhabitants, including Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot, and The Saucepan Man. At the top of the tree, they are transported to a fantastical realm, and through adventures filled with joy and challenges, the family reconnects for the first time in years and learns to cherish each other.
