Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division is launching a new product themed after the classic popular anime "Sgt. Frog"—the "Sgt. Frog Transparent Skeleton Character" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, and it is scheduled to be released in late April 2026!
"Sgt. Frog" (ケロロ軍曹) is a monthly manga series created by Japanese manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, which was adapted into a TV anime by Sunrise in 2004. It tells the story of Sgt. Frog and his squad, dispatched from "Keron Star" for reconnaissance, who accidentally expose themselves and end up living a noisy, comedic daily life at the Hinata household. The official announcement was also made recently that a brand new theatrical film will be released in summer 2026, which is highly anticipated!
The Transparent Skeleton Character Model (Sukyaraton) is a series conceived by combining "Skeleton" (スケルトン) and "Character" (キャラクター). This "Sgt. Frog Transparent Skeleton Character" collection includes five types of Keroro Platoon members: Sgt. Keroro, Corporal Tamama, Sergeant Giroro, Major Kururu, and Lance Corporal Dororo. Sculpted at approximately 7 cm tall, they feature a half-cut design revealing the frogs' internal organ structures. The bones and internal organs are made with colorful translucent materials, and the vibrant colors are very appealing. It's truly amazing to get a glimpse into the Keronians' body structure!
