Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division in Japan is releasing a new product based on the "Tamagotchi" handheld electronic pet game series—the "Transparent Skeleton Character Model" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per turn, and it is scheduled to be released in late April 2026!
Tamagotchi (たまごっち) is a series of handheld electronic pet game devices launched by Bandai in 1996. The name combines the Japanese words for egg (たまご, Tamago) and watch (ウォッチ, Watch). Upon its release, it sparked a global electronic pet craze and is one of the most iconic toys from the 90s to early 2000s, surely a fond childhood memory for many toy enthusiasts!
The Transparent Skeleton Character Model (Sukyaraton) is a series conceived by combining "Skeleton" (スケルトン) and "Character" (キャラクター). This "Tamagotchi Transparent Skeleton Character Model" features four popular characters—Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Mimitchi, and Flowertchi—in a half-cutaway design revealing their internal organs. At approximately 5.9 cm tall, the figures are sculpted to show both the characters' external appearance and internal skeletal structure. The transparent material, combined with hollow eye sockets shaped like stars and apples on the skull, is incredibly cute! Tamagotchi fans and toy collectors, don't miss out!
