The "Cyberpunk" universe is expanding its tabletop gaming presence with the unveiling of "Cyberpunk TCG," a new collectible card game developed in partnership between CD Projekt Red and startup studio WeirdCo. The first details have been released, drawing significant attention from the player community.

The game will feature iconic characters from "Cyberpunk 2077" and the Netflix anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners," including V, Johnny Silverhand, Panam, Judy, and Adam Smasher, all appearing with multiple card art variants. This aims to entice players looking for a fresh way to experience Night City.

While WeirdCo is a new player in the card game industry, its core members boast experience from major projects like "Marvel Snap" and "Universus." The studio has collaborated closely with CD Projekt Red since early development, even enlisting original artists from "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Edgerunners" to craft the card art. This ensures the game's aesthetic remains true to CDPR's distinctive style, avoiding a mere reskin.
While specific gameplay details remain under wraps, WeirdCo assures that the core design will fully embody the spirit of "Cyberpunk." CEO Luohan Wei noted that the team aims for the card game to be easily accessible to fans new to TCGs, while also offering enough strategic depth to keep core players engaged long-term.

The initial card sets will center on core characters from "Cyberpunk 2077," with a design emphasis on "multi-faceted character representation." This approach ensures each character will appear with card art variants depicting different looks, emotions, and key moments. WeirdCo also teased that beyond the expected V and Johnny, several unannounced surprise characters will be featured.
"Cyberpunk TCG" is slated to launch a crowdfunding campaign in 2026, with more gameplay demonstrations and card reveals anticipated in the coming months. Players can currently sign up for pre-tracking to secure a limited "Lucy Nova Rare" card.
