Kotobukiya, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its popular mecha girl plastic model kit series, "Megami Device," the "PUNI☆MOFU Golden Owl," is scheduled for release in May 2026.
The fourth unit in the PUNI☆MOFU series, "Owl," also features character design by Japanese illustrator BLADE. Compared to the first two releases, "Cat" and "Rabbit," which used the smaller, highly articulated "Block2-S" body, the subsequent "Wolf" and "Owl" are characters that combine cuteness with a mature, older-sister charm, thus utilizing the relatively larger standard "Block2-M" body. This alternate color version, the "Golden Owl," features a significantly altered overall color scheme, including blonde hair, brown skin, and blue and white armor, expressing a passionate summer vibe.
The "Megami Device PUNI☆MOFU Golden Owl" kit is a modification of the standard version "Owl" (Owl). It is also based on the "Block2-M" body designed by sculptor Masaki Apsy, featuring both a voluptuous physique and flexible articulated joints. The parts are molded in "Skin Color E" to present healthy brown skin, and it includes three newly designed pre-painted face parts: "Heart Eyes," "Ara ara~?," and "I'm Sorry," expressing a unique personality.
The overall exterior parts are molded in colors such as blue, white, and clear blue to evoke a swimsuit-like summer aesthetic. A dedicated decal sheet is included to complete the body markings and detailed color separation. By attaching the various exterior parts to the body, it can transform into the dynamic and agile "Armed Mode." The main wings, which also serve as the primary weapon, the "Alluring Big Sister Wings (Golden Owl Wings)," can be combined with the back unit to form various configurations such as a "staff" or "bow and arrow."
