Bontenmaru
Bontenmaru belongs to the Far East Combat Zone. It collects the spiritual particles of Date Masamune as its power core, making it a spiritual mecha specialized in artillery combat. Bontenmaru's pilot is Aino Date, 22 years old, 157cm tall, and hails from Hokkaido. Bontenmaru collects the spiritual particles of the Japanese Sengoku daimyo - Date Masamune - as its power core, thus developing into an artillery-specialized spiritual mecha, affiliated with the Yamasakura Group of the Far East Division, Asia-Pacific Combat Zone. As the third unit developed under the Talos Project for the Far East Division, it is deployed in battles against alien polluters. It is the first prototype separable twin-body combat mecha.
Bontenmaru is a long-range artillery type model, equipped with a long-range sniper rifle, two short guns, an uchigatana "Shadow of Ookurikara," and a tachi "Ookurikara."
The paint application maintains the same high standard as the original color Bontenmaru. Silver is the primary color, complemented by purple accents, and its metallic luster makes the overall paint job incredibly detailed and precise. MOSHOW's paint finish is excellent; unlike Zangdao, it doesn't easily scratch if accidentally touched during play, and there's almost no paint bleed visible in any detail. In terms of QC, honestly, it's truly better than Bandai's! The articulation is also on par with Metal Robot Spirits. If you've acquired the first release, Kai no Tora, then this Bontenmaru won't disappoint you, as it's considered the 'ceiling' for die-cast toys under HKD 500! The articulation experience and performance are naturally outstanding, with no issues of loose parts whatsoever. The play experience is even better, as parts won't come loose or fall off. Honestly, for a die-cast model of this 'Excellence Series' size, it feels even more comfortable and satisfying to handle! I believe MOSHOW will release more products of this type in the future; as long as they're not convention exclusives, collecting them all won't impact your quality of life!
Echigo no Ryū, Hegemon, and other Ancestral Effect units are believed to be released soon again with 'Excellence Series' specifications. Just wait and see!
