Japanese model manufacturer KOTOBUKIYA, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced that a new product, "Kisaragi YUE [Diva Outfit]", from their everyday-life bishojo plastic model kit series 『Sousai Shojo Teien』, is scheduled for release in May 2026.
The new character, "Kisaragi YUE," is a third-year student at St. Alice Girls' Academy High School. Born with a frail constitution, she underwent a major surgery two years ago and has been hospitalized for long-term rehabilitation, making her currently 20 years old. During her hospitalization, she happened to hear the voice of genius composer NARUSE TAKUTO online. This experience, after narrowly escaping death, inspired her to seize the moment and do everything she ever wanted, leading her to begin entertainment activities as the diva 'YUE'. For various reasons, she lives a school life while concealing her identity, deliberately making her appearance inconspicuous and feigning frailty to avoid wasting too much time on campus.
The completed "Sousai Shojo Teien Kisaragi YUE [Diva Outfit]" kit stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. It utilizes a total of 12 molded colors, including black, purple, clear purple, and clear black with silver particles, to recreate the diva 'YUE''s stage makeup and her gorgeous Gothic Lolita-style performance attire, which differs from her everyday look.
The entire body and costume are designed with specialized articulation for dance performances, featuring flexible movable designs such as pull-out shoulder joints, neck joints that can swing front, back, left, and right, and double-jointed knees. It also includes various newly sculpted hand parts to match different dance poses. Even the hair is intricately divided into movable sections for the back hair, side hair, and twin tails, allowing it to avoid interference with the body and costume's articulation, finely expressing dynamic dance poses and the details of hair movement.
Furthermore, the head can be combined with four pre-painted expression parts: "Final Boss Face," "Fan Service Face," "Passionate Singing Face," and "Focused Face." It also comes with four different front hair styles: "Front Hair with Hat," "Front Hair with Stage Intercom," "Front Hair for Glasses," and "Front Hair without Accessories." These allow for free interchangeability of various expressions and head decorations, enabling the recreation of her stage performance look with the included microphone and microphone stand parts!
