The new live-action "Street Fighter" film, produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Paramount Skydance Pictures, today surprised fans by dropping its first teaser trailer and a series of individual character posters during The Game Awards ceremony.
The star-studded cast features rapper 50 Cent as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, WWE wrestler Roman Reigns as Akuma, wrestler Cody Rhodes as Guile, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Eric André as Don Sauvage (Ring Announcer).

Kitao Sakurai, known for directing the Netflix comedy "Bad Trip," helms the new "Street Fighter" live-action film. The screenplay was penned by Dalan Musson, a writer for "Captain America: Brave New World." The film is slated for an October 16, 2026 release in North American theaters.
Additionally, the official synopsis has been released: "Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu and Ken Masters are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don't, it's GAME OVER!"
