Following her role in Marvel's "Secret Invasion," Emilia Clarke is making another return to television, starring in the new spy series "Ponies" for Peacock. The first trailer for the show was released earlier today.
"Ponies" is directed and co-written by Susanna Fogel, known for "Booksmart" and the animated film "The Addams Family 2." Clarke leads the cast alongside Haley Lu Richardson. The series is slated to premiere on January 15, 2026, on NBCUniversal's streaming platform, Peacock.

The official synopsis reveals: Set in Moscow in 1977, two "Ponies"—a covert intelligence term for "persons of no interest"—are working as secretaries at the U.S. Embassy, maintaining their secret identities. Their lives take a drastic turn when their husbands are mysteriously murdered in the Soviet Union, leading them to become CIA operatives. Bea, a highly educated, Russian-speaking descendant of Soviet immigrants, partners with Twyla, a fearless and straightforward small-town girl. Together, they must uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery behind their husbands' deaths.
