Bob Odenkirk, typically known for his dramatic and comedic roles, unexpectedly established himself as an action hero with "Nobody." He's clearly keen to deepen this image, as he's once again wielding heavy firepower against a gang of thugs in "Normal," the new film directed by Ben Wheatley ("Meg 2: The Trench"). The first trailer has been released, offering a glimpse of the explosive action.

Unlike "Nobody," Odenkirk also contributed to the story concept for "Normal" as a writer, teaming up with "Nobody" franchise screenwriter Derek Kolstad to pen the script and co-produce. The cast also features veteran actors Lena Headey and Henry Winkler.
The official synopsis describes Ulysses, a mild-mannered interim sheriff with a troubled past, who arrives in a quiet town to investigate a bank robbery, only to unwittingly uncover a more shocking secret. Temporarily assigned to the picturesque Midwest town of Normal, Ulysses seeks a reprieve from marital woes and recent career setbacks. However, a botched bank heist shatters the town's tranquility, inadvertently exposing a dark secret. Ulysses soon discovers that the town is far from as peaceful and "normal" as its name suggests. The film is slated for a North American release on April 17, 2026.
