Director Kyle Balda, known for his extensive career in visual effects and helming Illumination's "Minions" franchise and "Despicable Me 3," is set to release his live-action feature directorial debut next year. The first trailer and a teaser poster for "Three Bags Full" (pictured below) were released tonight.
The film is an adaptation of German crime author Leonie Swann's 2005 novel, "Three Bags Full." The screenplay was penned by Craig Mazin, co-creator of the acclaimed HBO series "The Last of Us." The official synopsis states: "To solve the murder of their beloved owner, the sheep on the farm decide to get 'wool-ly' and unravel the mystery, determined to find the real killer."

The live-action cast features Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Molly Gordon, Patrick Stewart, Hong Chau, and Nicholas Galitzine. The voice cast includes Nicholas Braun, Regina Hall, Bryan Cranston, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The film is slated for a simultaneous release in the UK and US on May 8 next year.
