Following the " Mazinger Z" collaboration, Japanese toy company Hasegawa's "Mechatro WeGo" plastic model series is back with the second installment of its dream collaboration project with *Mazinger Z*: the "20 Mechatro WeGo Mazinger Collaboration Vol.2 Boss Borot" 1/20 scale plastic model kit! With a suggested retail price of 3,960 JPY, it is scheduled for release in March 2026.
Designed by moderhythm/Kazushi Kobayashi, the "Mechatro WeGo" is set in a background where it is a children's robot developed by the Japanese company Chubu Mechatronics. Its smooth, rounded design, created to serve children, gives it an endearing, clumsy charm. The main body also features a protective, retractable cockpit that can accommodate a child, earning it the title of the world's smallest rideable robot. Its flexible limbs allow children to carry school bags, commute to and from school, and play games, filling their lives with joy.
The "20 Mechatro WeGo Mazinger Collaboration Vol.2 Boss Borot" 1/20 scale plastic model kit stands approximately 13.5 cm tall when assembled. To integrate Boss Borot's distinctive features into the cute Mechatro WeGo design, newly developed parts are used, including Boss Borot's iconic face, hollow mouth, shoulders, and accordion-like long arms! The arms feature ball joints for flexible movement, allowing it to swing its large fists into battle poses! Realistic effects can be achieved without painting, and the color details on the abdomen and back can also be recreated with the included stickers.
