Coinciding with the NFL's Christmas Day games, Amazon and MGM Pictures seized the festive occasion to release the first trailer for "Madden," the new American football biopic from David O. Russell, director of "American Hustle."
"Madden" chronicles the life of legendary American football coach and commentator John Madden. The film primarily focuses on his long-standing friendship with fellow renowned coach Al Davis and his illustrious career trajectory from player to coach and then to sports commentator. Davis, who owned the Oakland Raiders for 39 years, hired Madden as the Raiders' linebackers coach in 1967 before promoting him to head coach in 1969.
