Japanese model toy manufacturers PLEX and ART STORM, in collaboration to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the King of Monsters, Godzilla, are once again releasing the latest product from 'Shin Godzilla': "Godzilla (2016) Awakening Heat Ray Emission Ver."! This follows their previously released monster soft vinyl figure series 'G-SAURUS', which included "Godzilla (2016)". The suggested retail price is 27,280 JPY, with an estimated release in June 2026.

The Godzilla that appeared in the film 'Shin Godzilla (シン・ゴジラ)' was designed by animator Mahiro Maeda and sculptor Takayuki Takeya. It is a "giant perfect organism" capable of rapid evolution and quick adaptation to its environment. Within hours of landing in Japan, it rapidly evolved, undergoing five forms: the first form, resembling a giant tadpole; the second form, first landing in Kamata; the third form, growing forelimbs after landing; the complete fourth form, possessing "thermonuclear energy conversion bio-organs" and wreaking havoc on cities; and the fifth form, with its tail tip continuing to evolve after being frozen.

The "G-SAURUS Godzilla (2016) Awakening Heat Ray Emission Ver." is based on Godzilla (2016), featuring a new paint application and a brand-new head sculpt, achieving an overwhelming presence with dimensions of approximately 29 cm in height and 34.5 cm in length. The overall color scheme is repainted to reflect the image of purple light emanating from its body after awakening; the dorsal fins, interior of the mouth, and other detailed areas are crafted from clear material, cleverly utilizing gradient painting to fully showcase the charm of the clear material, presenting vibrant and dazzling colors.

It comes with two newly sculpted interchangeable head parts: the "Heat Ray Emission Head" (with a separable lower jaw) and the "Powerful Bite" head, showcasing its fierce appearance as it prepares to unleash its heat ray! The tail base, as well as the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, legs, and tail, feature articulation, allowing for a wide range of expressive poses.
