Japanese high-quality collectible statue brand Prime 1 Studio showcased a prototype of the latest work from "Spice and Wolf," the "CONCEPT MASTERLINE Holo 1/5 Scale Statue," at their recently held new product announcement event, 'NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XVI: REALMS BEYOND TIME.' Pre-orders are expected to begin in Q1 2026.
The series' heroine, Holo, is a deity of fertility who has existed in the northern Yoitsu region for hundreds of years. Calling herself the "Wise Wolf," she can inhabit wheat grains, adjusting the weather to make farmers' crops grow instantly. When she transforms into her human form, she appears as a youthful girl in her teens, retaining her pointed wolf ears and fluffy tail. However, her calm and seasoned experience, along with the wisdom and insight cultivated over centuries, remain undiminished. She often teases while simultaneously helping the protagonist, Lawrence, with various troubles he encounters.
The "CONCEPT MASTERLINE Holo 1/5 Scale Statue" depicts Holo, the Wise Wolf, in her divine form, worshipped and offered sacrifices by farmers. The massive base, resembling an altar, intricately carves out a huge wheat stalk statue, rich in ethnic-style artistic carving details, stone texture, and weathered effects. Holo, dressed in a goddess-like grey-white robe, sits on a stone table, holding her favorite apple.
Holo's main body design largely retains the style of the original novel's illustrator, Jyuu Ayakura, showcasing a slightly melancholic expression. Her hair and tail are crafted with transparent parts and gradient painting to create a light, translucent effect, and meticulously sculpted to capture the smooth flow of her hair and the fluffiness of her tail. The grey-white robe not only features linen weave patterns but also conveys the soft and light texture of the fabric through details like the apple pressing against it and the drape from the table.
