In the interview, Clooney stated that Don Cheadle and Matt Damon, who appeared in all three previous films, along with Julia Roberts, who was absent from "Ocean's Thirteen," are all confirmed to return for the fourth film. Production is slated to begin next October.

Clooney has previously mentioned multiple times that the story for the fourth film is inspired by the 1979 heist movie "Going in Style." He aims to depict how a group of aging thieves overcome their advanced age to continue their criminal endeavors. This time, he further elaborated: "We're getting older, we can't do what we used to do, but we're still smart enough to know how to get away with something. That idea is really appealing to me. They've lost a step, and they need to find a way to work around their limitations."
