Lake Knight - Ash Knight
A powerful creation from domestic toy manufacturer Moshow Toy, this popular mecha, the Lake Knight, from the original work "Ancestral Effect," has been re-colored and given new accessories, named the Ash Knight form.
The approximately 30CM tall body frame is made of alloy, giving it a substantial feel with solid joint articulation. Not only does it feature multiple联动 joints throughout the body, but even the sword and shield have a mechanism that causes the shield to expand when the sword is drawn.
True to Moshow's signature style, the metallic base allows the main body, which has magnets embedded in its feet, to stand as firm as a mountain. The Ash King's Helmet and Ash King's Chest Armor transform the originally righteous-looking mecha into a villainous style with a skull design, and the new head part also features a light-up unit.
The Crown Blade (long sword), Blazing Heavy Sword, Blazing Spearhead, and Blazing Spear Shaft are among the newly added weapons. The two can be combined to form a massive heavy sword, which is arguably the biggest feature of this mecha. The Crown Blade and Blazing Heavy Sword themselves are equipped with light-up units, featuring constant light and breathing light modes (the mass-produced version will also add a flashing light mode). The Blazing Heavy Sword connector can securely attach the substantial Blazing Heavy Sword to the back. The Source of Destruction (backpack) can hold 6 AG13 button batteries to power the Blazing Heavy Sword. The energy conduit connects the Blazing Heavy Sword to the backpack, using a magnetic suction structure for the interface.
The main body is approximately 29 cm tall, and accessories include the Ash Spear, Ash Spear Shaft, Lady of the Lake's Blessing · Dark, Arondight · Dark, hair effect parts, 6 pairs of interchangeable hands, head light unit, shoulder light units * 2, Source of Destruction light unit, Crown Blade light unit, back shield connector, hand-held shield connector, magnetic nameplate, weapon stand * 2, metal base, base stand, etc.
Newly added accessories include the Ash King's Helmet, Ash King's Chest Armor, Crown Blade, Blazing Heavy Sword, Blazing Heavy Sword connector, Source of Destruction (backpack), energy conduit, Blazing Spearhead, Blazing Spear Shaft, etc. It's lively and colorful!
Currently, the price and quality of finished toys or models from mainland China indeed directly threaten Japanese-produced brand toys... The Lake Knight - Ash Knight introduced this time, its appearance, especially its cost-effectiveness, has already surpassed many competitors! And this time, the Supreme Grade, at a price of around HKD 1,100, can certainly be said to have completely subverted the entire toy market's perception of alloy finished toys!
The main body's appearance and craftsmanship are extremely detailed. In terms of QC, honestly, it's really better than Bandai's! The articulation is also similar to the Metal Build series, and the proportion of alloy components is also higher. However, I'm not an alloy enthusiast, so alloy enthusiasts can add points themselves! In addition, the tightness of the joints is very well adjusted, and the weapons and interchangeable hand accessories are also very rich. But the most terrifying thing is indeed its price... The quality of a product costing HKD 1,000 is actually better and larger (1/72?) than a Metal Build costing over HKD 2,000... If factors like IP are excluded, I completely don't understand how their costs are calculated...
With this quality and price, I really have nothing to criticize; it will definitely be one of D.M.S.'s Top Ten Best Buys of 2025! See the pictures for yourself; there's nothing more to add.
