KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its "ARCANADEA" beautiful girl plastic model series, which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements: "GRANDE SCALE Lumitea," scheduled for release in June 2026.
Designed by illustrator necömi, "Lumitea" is a light-attribute angelic DEARS. She is usually gentle, kind, optimistic, and cheerful, but when she encounters something she likes, her speech quickens, revealing a shy side. As an apprentice angel, she is a bit clumsy at controlling magic and, while remembering her mission to retrieve Arcana crystals, she can't quite recall her past memories.
The "GRANDE SCALE" series redesigns Kotobukiya's past plastic model CAD models into large-scale products. By enlarging each part, not only are details more clearly visible, but the difficulty of assembly, painting, and modification is also reduced. It also allows for compatibility with larger mecha and weapons from other Kotobukiya series for customization. "Lumitea," the first character from Arcanadea to be scaled up, is also based on modifications to the previously released standard kit, enlarging her original height of approximately 16 cm to 25 cm, providing a more satisfying sense of presence.
Accessories include 4 pre-printed face parts, 5 pairs of different PVC hand parts, and dedicated praying hands for replacement. You can also use water-slide decals with various eye and mouth designs to create your preferred expressions. The body can freely switch between "Normal Mode" and "Battle Mode" by attaching and detaching the full body armor parts. With the articulated joints throughout the body and massive wings, along with weapon accessories like the sword and scabbard, you can pose her in cute and lively everyday stances or dynamic and cool battle scenes.
Furthermore, with the enlarged scale, the design of some parts has been improved. The front hair part uses a single-piece design to eliminate seam lines, and the various decorations in the center of the Oath Ring on the back are color-separated through part division. The pupil patterns on the three face parts have been renewed, and the elbow joints have been modified to a double-joint design. In Normal Mode, the knee joint structure has been revamped for more natural posing, the small wings now connect with slightly enlarged ball joints and include magic circle parts, and waist decoration parts have been added to allow for sitting poses. Both the sculpting and articulation have evolved further.
