"Who dares to disturb me, the Flying Dutchman!"
YOUTOOZ, a toy company that has released numerous meme-inspired toys, is launching a new product based on the popular cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants – "The Flying Dutchman" vinyl figure! The suggested retail price is US$29.99, with an estimated release in June to July 2026!
The Flying Dutchman first appeared in the first half of Season 1, Episode 13, "Scaredy Pants," where Mr. Krabs described him as a ghost that floats around the undersea world scaring people. In Season 2, Episode 1, "Something Smells," he demonstrated his excellent knot-tying skills to SpongeBob (except for shoelaces), and in Episode 33, "Shanghaied," he and Patrick created the classic meme "Three wishes, take it or leave it!"
This Flying Dutchman vinyl figure stands approximately 11.4 cm tall, faithfully recreating his appearance from the show. It features a dynamic pose, standing on his swirling ghostly tail with both hands raised beside his head. The entire figure is painted green to capture his iconic ghostly look, and details such as his swallowtail coat, captain's hat, large beard, and braided sideburns are all exquisitely reproduced! The display box features an illustration of the deck of the Flying Dutchman's ghost ship on the exterior, while the interior box has an ocean blue gradient design, allowing for a perfect display of Bikini Bottom's terrifying ghost without even opening the box!
