Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 'S.H.MonsterArts' series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with excellent articulation technology, has officially announced its latest product based on the "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah" film from the "Godzilla" series: "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Junior & Destoroyah Evolution Set". The suggested retail price is 18,700 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2026.
This "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Junior & Destoroyah Evolution Set" brings together the reappearing Godzilla Junior, along with Destoroyah Juvenile, Destoroyah Aggregate, and Destoroyah Flying forms, recreated as a luxurious set! Godzilla Junior features sculpting based on Yuji Sakai's original design from that time, showing clear differences in overall sculpt compared to previously released versions. The coloring is based on film photographic data from that era, reproducing the richer nighttime coloration.
The Destoroyah Aggregate and Flying forms were sculpted by Hiroshi Sagae and Taichi Yamada, respectively, based on the prototypes by master monster sculptor Shinichi Wakasa. The production team referenced extensive materials to thoroughly recreate the designs from the 1995 film "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah." The Juvenile and Aggregate forms feature two paint schemes, nighttime colors and dust colors, to reflect their respective battle scenes. The Aggregate form can even display an open-mouth pose through interchangeable parts! Coupled with articulated joint designs, it can reproduce various in-movie actions.
