Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced that the latest product from their popular Tokusatsu and monster-themed soft vinyl toy series 'MOVIE MONSTER', 'MOVIE MONSTER Leaping Godzilla (2004)', from the movie 'Godzilla: Final Wars', is scheduled for release on January 31, 2026.
The Godzilla that appeared in the film emerged due to the destruction of the Earth's environment, the strongest monster that had repeatedly brought the world to the brink of destruction. He was frozen in Antarctica by the Gotengo 20 years before the story began. It wasn't until after the Xiliens manipulated monsters to destroy the world that the Earth Defense Force's New Gotengo awakened Godzilla to defeat monsters around the world, calling him "Earth's strongest weapon." His physique, however, was more robust and muscular, capable of agile movements like saving a soccer ball, with excellent close-quarters combat abilities, and the power of his atomic breath was exceptionally immense, capable of defeating almost every monster with a single shot.
The pose of 'MOVIE MONSTER Leaping Godzilla (2004)' originates from the movie poster created when 'Godzilla: Final Wars' was released, drawn by the late art master Noriyoshi Ohrai based on the Millennium Godzilla prototype created by monster sculptor Yuji Sakai. However, the overall design is still based on the Godzilla (2004) suit that appeared in the film, recreating its vermilion pupils, fierce facial features, and muscular physique. The dorsal fins are painted in grayish-white and metallic blue, expressing the color scheme presented in the movie poster.
