UK toy company First 4 Figures has unveiled a new product based on the classic anime "Cowboy Bebop" (カウボーイビバップ) — the "Spike Spiegel" 1/8 scale resin statue. It will be available in two versions, Standard and Exclusive, with suggested retail prices of US$269.99 and US$289.99 respectively, and is scheduled for release in Q4 2026!
"Cowboy Bebop" is an original television anime series produced in 1998 by Sunrise and Bandai Visual, based on a concept by Hajime Yatate and directed by Shinichirō Watanabe. The story follows protagonists Spike (スパイク) and Jet (ジェット) as they make a living as bounty hunters, piloting the spaceship Bebop (Beebop) across the cosmos. Later, they encounter Faye (フェイ), a beautiful woman burdened with debt; Ed (エド), a computer prodigy; and Ein (アイン), a data dog. Together, the group wanders the vast universe, searching for stories from their respective pasts.
This Spike Spiegel 1/8 scale resin statue stands approximately 34 cm tall. It captures him in a dynamic pose, with a cigarette held in his right hand and his suit jacket casually draped over his left shoulder. His messy hair, blue casual suit, and the wrinkles of his yellow shirt are all meticulously reproduced! The geometric base is designed to reference the artistic style of the classic opening sequence, recreating its visual effect with a red background and black line art! The Exclusive Edition will also include an additional interchangeable right hand holding a gun, and an interchangeable head sculpt featuring him wearing sunglasses and a cigarette in his mouth, offering various display options. Fans of "Cowboy Bebop" should definitely not miss out!
