Kotobukiya, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its "Arcanadea" series of beautiful girl plastic model kits, which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, will be the new "Legiant" from the spin-off series "XenoAlma", scheduled for release in April 2026.
The "XenoAlma" series features fantasy creature model kits based on various animals, showcasing the "Arcanadea" world view. The kits utilize abundant clear parts to express a fantasy style and cleverly combine biological forms with armed designs. In addition to being displayed and played with individually in "Monster Mode," they can also link with "Arcanadea" DEARS characters, transforming into "Armed Mode" to become expanded weapons and armor for the DEARS.
The new product, "Legiant," is a XenoAlma modeled after ant-like creatures, composed of silver, black, and clear purple molded parts. When completed, it stands approximately 7 cm tall. All parts are connected by 3mm common standard pegs, providing not only flexible articulation for the limbs, mandibles, and tail, but also the ability to be freely disassembled, modified, and expanded. Multiple kits can be combined to create an infinitely extending centipede-like play style, or the tail can be reconfigured into a pair of scythes to form a mantis-like appearance.
After disassembling all its parts, "Legiant" can become various armed accessories for characters in the "Arcanadea" series. These include swords, shields, shoulder armor, arm armor, leg armor, backpack units, and various connection parts. Thanks to the common 3mm peg standard, as long as there is no interference between the shapes of the parts, they can be freely equipped on various body parts!
