Kotobukiya, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced a new product in its popular mecha girl-themed plastic model kit series, "Megami Device": "Desire Maiden Medic", scheduled for release in January 2026.
"Desire Maiden" is a brand new character series with character body design by Amama, the pupil/face designer for the "Megami Device" series, and mechanical design by Tasuku, the designer for the "Megami Device BUSTER DOLL" series. The second unit, "Medic", uses light purple, pink, and white colors to express an angelic image, contrasting with the first unit "Striker". Its armaments combine with the "nurse" profession, echoing the angelic theme, designing two large rifles capable of firing healing rounds, and a flight unit that provides greater stability when transporting injured teammates. Her glasses also have the function of displaying teammates' health bars, making her a support-specialized nursing-type Megami Device.
The base body of "Desire Maiden Medic" is a modified design based on the previous "Striker". Not only are the characteristic parts molded in light purple, pink, and white, but many new parts are also used to recreate a different hairstyle, chest sculpt, various nurse uniform accessories, and transparent glasses. The hair uses two molded colors to reproduce highlighted colors and complex, dynamic hair bundles. In addition to the movable twin-tail hairstyle, it can also be replaced with cute looped braids.
Includes three pre-painted face parts: "Smiling Face", "Enjoying Face", and "Ignoring Face". The face designs are also by Amama, showcasing the character's unique and charming personality. In unarmed "body mode", the flexible articulation of the Block2 body and various PVC molded hand parts can be utilized to pose her in various lively and cute actions. Accessories also include nurse uniform-style chest replacement parts to recreate the uniform mode.
The white twin wings on the back are mounted on a movable stand at the waist. The wing base and tip feathers feature movable designs. The substantial two large rifles also feature rich color separation. Both the scope and healing rounds are represented with clear parts. Furthermore, the back stand is designed with numerous 3mm universal connection points, allowing the rifles to be mounted on the backpack for use, or the entire backpack can be used as a flight support unit. It's even possible to freely unleash creativity and change the assembly method to create various original armaments.
