Hong Kong toy brand threezero has announced the latest product from the classic robot anime *Armored Trooper VOTOMS*, the "1/12 Scopedog Ver.1.5", slated for release in the second quarter of 2026.
The official main Armored Trooper (AT) "ATM-09-ST Scopedog", developed by the Gilgamesh Army, was the most mass-produced unit during the Hundred Years' War. In the series, it was not only the AT model that protagonist Chirico Cuvie was most skilled at piloting, but its high versatility also led to its modification into various derivative specifications, utilized across different units. This model's head is equipped with a triple rotating lens that can switch between standard, sniper, and wide-angle modes, transmitting raw visual information to the pilot's helmet. In addition to its extendable Arm Punch and leg-mounted rollers for high-speed movement, the unit can also carry various projectile weapons via handheld, backpack, and limb hardpoints.
The "1/12 Scopedog Ver.1.5" is an updated version based on the initial release from 2017. It features a completely refreshed weathering paint application, including rust, paint chips, and stains, for a more realistic texture. Furthermore, the ankle joints and shoulder ball joints have been replaced with higher-strength die-cast metal, and the material connecting the shoulder joints to the arm parts has also been renewed, resulting in an improved handling experience.
The model is crafted at an impressive height of approximately 33 cm, faithfully reproducing the robust armor design and intricate details that showcase its military practicality. The entire unit boasts nearly 100 points of articulation, with the head's triple rotating lens replicating the mode-switching mechanism, and the face guard, chest, and abdominal armor all featuring deployable internal cockpit mechanisms. The limb joints offer flexible articulation, complemented by fully articulated finger joints, an extendable "Arm Punch" mechanism, adjustable thigh-length hip joints, and deployable foot rollers, among other features, ensuring a rich play experience.
Accessories include the "GAT-22 Heavy Machine Gun" with interchangeable long and short barrels, three magazines that can be mounted on the waist or the heavy machine gun, eight Arm Punch launch magazines, and three Arm Punch launch magazine holders. Also included is a fully articulated pilot figure, approximately 15 cm tall, with multiple points of articulation in the limbs and neck for posing. The orange pilot suit is made of fabric material and comes with a "Bahauser M571 Armor Magnum" pistol and various interchangeable hand parts. The figure can also be placed inside the Scopedog's cockpit.
