To commemorate the upcoming Japanese release of the animated film *Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe*, BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, which offers the most comprehensive lineup of Gunpla kits faithfully recreating their anime counterparts, has announced the commemorative product **"HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam [Clear Color] Movie Release Commemorative Package"** from its **'HG (High Grade)'** Gunpla series. It is scheduled for pre-sale at various cinemas across Japan starting February 6, 2026.
The **RX-105 Ξ (Xi) Gundam** is a 5th generation mobile suit secretly commissioned by the anti-government organization "Mafty Navue Erin" and developed by Anaheim Electronics. This machine boasts an astonishing height of 26 meters and is specialized for atmospheric combat. It successfully incorporates an "internal Minovsky Flight Unit" (theatrical version setting), an improved version of the Minovsky Craft System, as well as the new "Beam Barrier" technology, which reduces drag and allows it to break the sound barrier during flight. In addition to its basic beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, it is also equipped with high-firepower psycho-communicative armaments usable in atmosphere, such as "Psycho-Missiles," "Mega Particle Cannons," and "Micro Missiles."
The **"HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam [Clear Color] Movie Release Commemorative Package"** is a modified version of the previously released standard kit. All red, yellow, blue, and white parts of the entire mobile suit have been replaced with clear colored molding, and the dark gray used for joints and weapons has been changed to a material with a metallic sheen, presenting a unique texture distinct from the regular version. The product packaging also features a new design, printed with the main visual art from *Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe*.
The remaining specifications are essentially the same as the standard version. The overall design is based on new artwork drawn by mechanical designer **KATOKI HAJIME** for the film. Once assembled, it boasts an impressive height of approximately 18 cm with intricate details, faithfully reproducing the rich panel line designs on the armor surface and the numerous sharp-angled armor shapes reminiscent of a fighter jet. Not only can dynamic combat poses be achieved through its various joints, but the back wings, leg side wings, and Minovsky Flight Unit all feature deployable articulation mechanisms. Combined with transformation mechanisms in areas such as the shoulder armor and legs, it can recreate its flight form.
