After Toei's half-century-old tokusatsu "Super Sentai" series takes a break, the new series "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Unlimited" is set to premiere in Japan on February 15, 2026. Bandai Spirits has officially announced a range of DX toys based on the transformation devices, weapons, and giant robots from the show, featuring light and sound effects and transformation mechanisms to recreate in-show battles. These are scheduled for sequential release starting February 14, 2026.
The hyper-dimensional hero saga "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Unlimited" is a remake based on some settings from the 1982 Toei tokusatsu "Space Sheriff Gavan." The story is set across various Earths in a multiverse, where each universe has an organization called the "Galactic Federal Police" dedicated to protecting cosmic peace, and a "Gavan" possessing powerful abilities. The protagonist, Reiji Nujō, is the transformer of "Gavan Unlimited." With his unique ability to traverse dimensions, he can travel to different Earths in various universes, working with the local Gavans and police to apprehend criminals and forge deep friendships.
In this series' setting, the transformation devices used by the Gavans also function as weapons, spaceships, and giant robots formed from those spaceships. There are diverse weapon variations depending on Gavan's preferred fighting style. Currently, Bandai has announced five DX toy armaments: Gavarion Trigger (pistol), Gavarion Drill (drill), Gavarion Saber (saber), Gavarion Crane (crane arm), and Gavarion Laser (laser gun).

The "DX Gavarion Trigger" used by the protagonist "Gavan Unlimited" includes the universal core unit for all forms, "Cosmo Gavarion GC-R." It can transform into three forms: transformation weapon, spaceship, and robot. It comes with "Emotion Batteries," items that store human emotional energy. When a battery is inserted, it produces rich light and sound effects, recreating transformation sequences like "Jōchaku" and special move sounds. The other four armaments only feature weapon mode and unit mode; when combined with the "Cosmo Gavarion GC-R" from the DX Gavarion Trigger, they can further form spaceship mode and robot mode. Various "Emotion Batteries" will be sold separately in two-piece sets.
