The latest episode of the American program "Saturday Night Live" recently aired, with its opening monologue focusing on the officially concluded "Stranger Things."
Host Finn Wolfhard, in a self-deprecating manner, reflected on his adolescence, which he experienced "growing up in front of the whole world" on the show. He admitted that having over 400 million viewers witness his growth was both an absurd and real experience, drawing enthusiastic reactions from the audience.
During his monologue, Wolfhard jokingly stated that while filming "Stranger Things," he experienced many of life's "firsts" on camera, including his first kiss and his voice breaking. With a humorous tone, Wolfhard even quipped about "the first time knowing what a girl looks like down there," which was immediately followed by a clip of the Demogorgon opening its petal-like head. 
With the "Stranger Things" series now concluded, Wolfhard declared he was "ready for adult films," adding, "I'm a man now," which brought continuous applause and laughter from the audience.
As the energy peaked, co-stars Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, and Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair, made a surprise appearance on stage. Their reunion not only delighted the audience but also symbolized their official farewell to their childhood era.
"Whenever the phrase 'former child star' appears in a media headline, it usually means good things," Matarazzo remarked. McLaughlin then sarcastically thanked netizens for years of continuous comments on their "appearance and physical changes," highlighting the constant public scrutiny child actors face throughout their careers.
Interestingly, the show also aired several parody sketches that evening, directly satirizing certain viewers' conspiracy theories that streaming platforms are still hiding an "unreleased ninth episode."
