The popular assembly model shokugan series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT," released by BANDAI CANDY, the shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan, announced the latest product from the anime "Combat Mecha Xabungle," the "Xabungle & Walker Gallia Set," scheduled for release in June 2026.
The Xabungle, piloted by protagonist Jiron in the series, is a giant robot with transformation and combination functions for its upper and lower mechanical halves. It possesses excellent flexibility and mobility, much like a human body, and its performance surpasses other types of walking mecha. In addition to performing various martial arts, it is equipped with a rich array of armaments. However, due to its complex transformation mechanism and internal structure, it is prone to malfunctions. The Walker Gallia, on the other hand, is the successor to the Xabungle, significantly simplifying the transformation mechanism that often caused malfunctions, and instead boasts enhanced output and maneuverability.
The "SMP Xabungle & Walker Gallia Set" is an improved version based on the previously released SUPER MINIPLA. While the part designs remain the same, the plastic material has been upgraded from PS to ABS, enhancing the strength and smoothness of the movable joints and transformation mechanism during play. The molded colors of the parts and the colors of the supplementary stickers have also been refreshed, and new pre-painted sections have been added, resulting in colors that are closer to the in-series settings.
Once assembled, both mecha stand approximately 12 cm tall, feature flexible movable joint designs, and faithfully reproduce the separation and transformation mechanisms of their upper and lower halves. The armaments not only include Xabungle's 90mm rifle, triple external rocket launcher, nine-tube rocket launcher, and quad-barrel handheld cannon, as well as Walker Gallia's dedicated rifle and large-caliber rocket launcher, but this time, new weapons from the experimental animation "BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE R" have been added, including a "Gatling Gun," "Bazooka," and "Drill." Both mecha can freely equip this extensive arsenal.
