BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its "SO-DO CHRONICLE" Kamen Rider Shokugan series, based on "Kamen Rider Blade": the "Kamen Rider Garren & Kamen Rider Leangle King Form Set," scheduled for release in June 2026.
"Kamen Rider Blade," which aired in 2004, tells the story of immortal beings called "Undead" sealed in 52 cards ten thousand years ago. After modern humans discovered them, the "Human Base History Research Institute (BOARD)" was established to conduct research. However, due to human desires, many "Undead" were accidentally awakened. To reseal them, rookie employee and protagonist Kazuma Kenzaki and his senior Sakuya Tachibana were chosen as wearers of the "Kamen Rider System," fighting the Undead day and night.
In the story's setting, both Kamen Rider Garren, transformed by Sakuya Tachibana, and Kamen Rider Leangle, transformed by Mutsuki Kamijo, possess the ability to power up into King Form. However, ultimately only Kazuma Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Blade, with his exceptionally high fusion coefficient, succeeded. Senior Tachibana, who missed his chance in the main series due to a damaged belt, only gained the power to transform successfully in "Kamen Rider Outsiders," which aired in 2023. Similarly, the unrealized King Leangle from that year finally had its Toei-produced special suit revealed at the 20th-anniversary event the following year, at the request of Mutsuki Kamijo's actor, Takahiro Hojo.
The "SO-DO CHRONICLE Kamen Rider Garren & Kamen Rider Leangle King Form Set" utilizes numerous newly sculpted parts to recreate the distinct appearance from their base forms. The full golden armor features partial color application and supplementary stickers to reproduce its luxurious design. Both King Forms also come with larger, newly sculpted weapon parts and card-holding hands to depict skill-activation scenes, allowing for cool battle poses.
Furthermore, purchasing this set together with the separately sold "SO-DO CHRONICLE Kamen Rider Wild Chalice & Rider Form Parts Set" from Bandai's official online store PREMIUM BANDAI will grant a limited effect part bonus, recreating the scene where Kamen Rider Garren King Form unleashes his finishing move, "Royal Straight Flush."
