TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product in its popular Chogokin Damashii alloy toy series: "GX-61R Saikyo Robo Daioja," based on the anime *Saikyo Robo Daioja*, is scheduled for release in July 2026. 
The story of *Saikyo Robo Daioja* is inspired by Japan's Edo period Tokugawa Shogunate, where the robots appearing in the series are akin to a samurai's "katana"—both a weapon and a symbol of power. The three robots, Ace Redder, Aoider, and Cobalter, serve as symbols of authority for the Tokugar family of Ido Country. Under the command of protagonist Prince Mito, they can combine to form the super robot "Daioja," capable of wielding powerful armaments such as the "Denko Raimei Ken" (Lightning Thunder Sword) in battle, and remaining undefeated throughout the story.
To commemorate the 45th anniversary of *Saikyo Robo Daioja*'s broadcast, the "GX-61R Saikyo Robo Daioja" is being re-released with refreshed colors, based on the standard version launched in 2012. The product still includes the three robots: Ace Redder, Aoider, and Cobalter, each featuring excellent articulated joint designs. They can be equipped with weapons such as longswords, spears, maces, and round shields for play. The horns on Ace Redder's helmet and the wings on the backs of all three machines have been updated with plated finishes, showcasing a luxurious metallic texture.
By transforming Ace Redder into the upper body, Aoider into the arms and torso, and Cobalter into the legs, the three machines can combine to form "Daioja," standing approximately 30 cm tall. The horns on its helmet have also been upgraded to a luxurious plated specification. Armaments include the Denko Raimei Ken, Daioja Shield, Daioja Twin Swords, and Daioja Beam Bow. Furthermore, the three weapons from the pre-combination forms can be connected to create the "Daioja Javelin."
