The 'ROBOT魂' series of articulated robot figures, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the commercialization of its latest product, 'ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam (Circe's Witch Ver.)', from the animated film *Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash: Circe's Witch*. Detailed information will be released on February 2nd.
The RX-105 Ξ Gundam is a 5th-generation mobile suit secretly commissioned by the anti-government organization 'Mafty Navue Erin' and developed by Anaheim Electronics. This machine boasts an astonishing height of 26 meters and is specialized for atmospheric combat. It successfully incorporates an internal Minovsky Flight Unit, an improvement on the Minovsky Craft System (as per the theatrical version's setting), and a new 'Beam Barrier' technology across its body that reduces drag and allows it to break the sound barrier during flight. In addition to its basic beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, it is also equipped with high-firepower psycho-communicative armaments usable in atmosphere, such as 'Funnel Missiles,' 'Mega Particle Cannons,' and 'Micro Missiles.'
*Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash* is adapted from the novel of the same name by director Yoshiyuki Tomino. Set in Universal Century 0105, 12 years after the animated *Char's Counterattack*, the Earth Federation Government is rife with privileged high-ranking officials who have privatized Earth, acting arrogantly and and corruptly.
Hathaway Noa, son of Captain Bright Noa, witnessed countless lives lost during the Second Neo Zeon War. Questioning if the sacrifices of Amuro, Char, and many others were meaningless, Hathaway, aware of these injustices, resolved to inherit their will and became the leader of the anti-government organization 'Mafty Navue Erin.' He initiated acts of terror against corrupt Federation officials, aiming to liberate Earth from bureaucratic dictatorship, return it to nature, and allow all humanity to live equally in space.
This product will be a modification of the *Hathaway's Flash* version released in 2024, also thoroughly supervised by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. While the main body's sculpt appears unchanged from the previous version, the overall color scheme will reproduce the in-show sense of realism, and it remains to be seen if new parts will be added to recreate specific scenes.
