TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest addition to its 'ROBOT魂' (ROBOT SPIRITS) series of articulated robot figures: the "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Penelope [Re:Coordinate]," inspired by the animated film *Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash*, slated for release in July 2026.
The RX-104 Odysseus Gundam is a prototype Mobile Suit newly developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation Forces, and a sister unit to the "RX-105 Ξ Gundam." Designed with additional equipment in mind, it forms the "RX-104FF Penelope" when equipped with its "Fixed Flight Unit." This massive Fixed Flight Unit incorporates a miniaturized Minovsky Flight System and beam barriers to reduce drag, enabling supersonic flight capabilities when transformed into its flight mode. Furthermore, it is equipped with atmospheric-use funnel missiles, a high-output beam rifle, and a composite armament unit featuring a mega particle cannon, missiles, and beam sabers, making it a monstrously powerful machine in terms of size, mobility, and firepower.
The "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Penelope [Re:Coordinate]" is a revised version based on the previously released standard edition. It is once again thoroughly supervised by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, with its entire paint scheme re-coordinated based on the night battle scenes from *Hathaway's Flash*. All white parts have been changed to a cool-toned white, while the hexagonal sections on the armor feature a metallic, pearlescent finish. Combined with original markings on various parts, the level of detail has been significantly enhanced.
This product faithfully recreates the separation and combination mechanism of the Odysseus Gundam and the Fixed Flight Unit. Both can be enjoyed and displayed individually when separated. The Fixed Flight Unit can even combine with the separately sold "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam (Hathaway's Flash Ver.)" to form an original configuration. In its combined Penelope form, it can transform into flight mode without the need for interchangeable parts.
In Penelope form, the opening and closing mechanism of the chest air intakes and the hidden mechanical arm at the rear waist are reproduced. This mechanical arm can grasp energy magazines to reload the beam rifle, and the funnel missile launchers on the front skirt armor are also intricately detailed. The included "Beam Rifle" can be equipped with two types of energy magazines: one for rapid-fire and one for high-power single shots. The "Composite Armament Units" mounted on both arms feature a Mega Particle Cannon deployment mechanism, missile hatch deployment mechanism, and beam saber effects.
