BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, a Japanese company, has announced the latest addition to its highly diverse Gunpla series, 'HG (High Grade),' with the upcoming release of the **'HG 1/144 TX-ff104 Alyzeus'** from the animated film *Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Circe*, slated for April 2026.
The **TX-ff104 Alyzeus** is a training unit urgently constructed for Lane Aim to practice high-speed flight before the official deployment of the Penelope. This mobile suit uses the 'RX-94 Mass Production Nu Gundam' as its core, with exterior armor incorporating prototype parts used for testing during the Penelope's development. It features 20 parallel thrusters distributed throughout its body, serving as a substitute for the then-incomplete Minovsky Flight Unit. Although it utilizes an older 'plasma jet engine propulsion system' that does not employ I-field technology, its combined operation still achieves high-speed flight capabilities comparable to the Penelope.
The **'HG 1/144 TX-ff104 Alyzeus'** is produced using Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology. The kit features a rich array of pre-colored parts, with the annular 'plasma reactor' components on various parts of the fuselage made from clear parts. Once assembled, it stands approximately 25 cm tall, an incredibly imposing size compared to the typical 10 cm height of most HG series mobile suits. Through its complex transformation mechanisms and articulation, the product can transform into a 'Flight Form' resembling a mobile fortress.
The model not only faithfully recreates the prototype exterior parts through precise molding but also features a standalone separation mechanism for its core unit, the 'RX-94 Mass Production Nu Gundam.' The entire kit is made with new parts, and the hip joint can be restored to Mass Production Nu Gundam specifications by replacing parts. The left shoulder can mount armor with some prototype parts and a thruster resembling a Fin Funnel. Armaments include a beam rifle, beam saber, and auxiliary manipulators hidden within the front skirt armor.
