The HOBBY Division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, which issues the 'HG (High Grade)' Gunpla series known for its vast array of mobile suits, has announced the latest product from the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash - Circe's Witch": the "HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam (Circe's Witch Ver.)", scheduled for release in April 2026.
The RX-105 Ξ Gundam is a 5th generation mobile suit secretly commissioned by the anti-government organization "Mafty Navue Erin" and developed by Anaheim Electronics. This machine boasts an astonishing height of 26 meters and is specialized for atmospheric combat. It successfully incorporates an internal Minovsky Flight Unit (theatrical version setting), an improvement on the Minovsky Craft System, as well as the new "Beam Barrier" technology, which reduces drag and allows it to break the sound barrier during flight. In addition to its standard beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, it is also equipped with high-firepower psycho-frame armaments operable in the atmosphere, such as "Funnel Missiles" and "Mega Particle Cannons."
The "HG 1/144 Ξ Gundam (Circe's Witch Ver.)" is a modified version based on the previously released standard edition. It is also produced based on the latest design drawings by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME, featuring an impressive height of approximately 18 cm and high-density detailing. This version utilizes new parts to recreate the new beam rifle that appears in "Circe's Witch," a battle-damaged head part revealing the standard Gundam face, and a battle-damaged shield with peeling anti-beam coating. The shield is reproduced with new color separation and part division design, accurately depicting the scorch marks from beam hits and the charred metallic base color on its surface.
