Henry Cavill's "Highlander" Reboot: Set Footage Reveals Action, Reunites with Jeremy Irons

British actor Henry Cavill continues to cement his status as a leading action star since departing his role as DC's Superman. He is currently deep into filming the highly anticipated "Highlander" reboot, and new set footage has recently surfaced, offering the public its first look at his on-screen appearance and action sequences, while also setting the stage for a familiar on-screen reunion.

According to the leaked production footage, Cavill was seen shooting scenes near the Tower of London. Dressed in costume, he rode a motorcycle through the streets and was later captured walking on foot in the middle of the road. One particular shot appears to involve a high-risk stunt where a performer, believed to be Cavill or his stunt double, is hit by a vehicle, underscoring the film's commitment to intense practical action.

The video also confirms that Cavill will share the screen once again with Jeremy Irons, who previously worked with him in DC films.

Beyond Jeremy Irons, the cast boasts other notable names. Cavill is set to collaborate again with Russell Crowe, who played his father, Jor-El, in "Man of Steel." The film is directed by Chad Stahelski, known for his work on the "John Wick" franchise, and its style is widely anticipated to lean towards realistic and close-quarters combat.
