SHINZEN Shin Godzilla City Ablaze Diorama Production (WF2017)

The first diorama production of 2026 utilizes SHINZEN's fully transparent Shin Godzilla kit. The entire diorama was planned, drawing inspiration from the movie scene where Godzilla transforms the city into a sea of fire. The commission requested Godzilla to be based on a specific example, and the city diorama needed to be compatible with displaying other Godzilla kits. Due to the intricate production process, the following key points can be summarized:

1. Hollowing out the genuine SHINZEN kit to create space for internal lighting, and repairing approximately 30 broken parts.

2. Testing the Godzilla body's lighting unit and adopting a detachable design.

3. Balancing the body's paintwork with the visual effects of both glowing and non-glowing states.

4. Utilizing 3D printing technology to produce transparent flame effect parts and city building elements (approximately 40 structures).

5. Detachable design for the flame effects, LED lighting design, and painting.

6. Production of the overall city lighting and detachable interfaces, along with the completion of the entire power supply system.

7. Buildings are painted with light and shadow techniques to complement the lighting.

8. Covering the entire diorama with smoke effects, creating a three-dimensional shape outwards from the flame effects as the center, and painting it.

9. Integration of the Godzilla body, flame effect parts, and the diorama base.

After a month, completing this diorama planning and production was also a re-acquaintance with the immense effort and time required for a diorama from its initial concept to final completion. The final result, as depicted in the photos, showcases Godzilla with glowing dorsal fins, flames erupting from its mouth, and a city engulfed in a sea of fire. We hope everyone enjoys this diorama production!
