Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division is launching a new product based on the beloved national anime "Crayon Shin-chan" – the "Crayon Shin-chan Mini Piggy Bank" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 Japanese Yen per capsule, and it is expected to be released in the second week of February 2026!
This "Crayon Shin-chan Mini Piggy Bank" Gashapon transforms Shin-chan and his friends into adorable mini piggy banks, standing approximately 7.3 cm tall. To accommodate the larger main body, the capsule shell for this release will be a large 9 cm in diameter! The Gashapon collection includes four designs: Shin-chan, Shiro, Action Mask, and Buriburi Zaemon. The sculpting captures a retro ceramic piggy bank style, and a glossy finish is applied to give it a bright, painted texture! While the capacity is certainly not large, these four mini piggy banks genuinely allow you to insert coins and also open the bottom lid to retrieve your savings for a bit of "micro-finance."
