The robot-themed action figure series 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced that a new mobile suit, "Messala," from the anime Mobile Suit Z Gundam, is currently under development. The release date is yet to be determined.
The PMX-000 Messala is a transformable MA developed onboard the Earth Federation Forces' Jupiter transport ship "Jupitris" by its captain, Paptimus Scirocco. Equipped with high-output thrusters for operation in Jupiter's high-gravity environment, it boasts unparalleled high mobility compared to standard mobile suits. The unit also features a high-strength "movable frame" structure, allowing it to transform from MA to MS mode in just 0.5 seconds. This machine is also the first in the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series history to feature a transformation sequence.
Currently, only the rear silhouette of the "ROBOT魂 Messala ver. A.N.I.M.E." in its MA form has been revealed. With the development experience gained from last year's transformable MA, the "Asshimar," it is believed that Messala's transformation mechanism will also be faithfully reproduced this time.
